"The international congress of the martyred commanders of the Resistance and Arbaeen" started its activity with the Message of Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, followed by the inaugural speech of Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri.
In order to commemorate and honor the martyred commanders of Resistance, specially General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, Iran's Cultrul and Educational Committee of Arbaeen held this congress with the cooperation of the Supreme Leader’s representative office in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs, Astan Quds Razavi, Arbaeen international foundation, Iraqi academic syndicate, Imam Sadiq (as) research institute of Islamic sciences, Ahlul Bayt (as) world assembly, and Shi’i studies world center.
This prestigious online event was held with the presence of prominent scholars and thinkers from around the globe including Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, the chairman of "Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom", Ayatollah Ka'bi, a member of the "Assembly of Experts", Ayatollah Qobanchi, the Holy Najaf's Friday prayer leader, Hujjat al-Islam Navab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs, etc. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 29 and 30 December 2020.
This two day event started with the general assembly in which the Message of Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani to the congress was read. Then Ayatollah A'rafi, Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, Ayatollah Ka'bi, Ayatollah Qobanchi, Hujjat al-Islam Navab, Mr. Masjedi, Iran's ambassadar to Baghdad, and Hujjat al-Islam Hosseini, the head of Iraqi Radios and Television Union.
After that the special discussion panels were held in which the chosen articles were presented by their authors. In total, more than 40 articles from 8 countries were recieved 25 of which were chosen by a panel of experts. Since the articles were in three languages we had three special panels in Persian, Arabic, and English.
The persian panel was held on Tuesday, 29 Dec. 2020, with the presence of nine thinkers. Then on the second day of the event the Arabic and English panels were held with the presence of 14 scholars and thinkers whose articles were chosen as the best. Mr. Shabbir Hassanally chaired the English panel and Hujjat al-Islam Bahrani was the panel's secretary.
