Director of the treasury of stamps, coins and banknotes of the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documentation Center of Astan Quds Razavi said: "After the appointment of Imam Reza (AS) to the succession of Ma'mun Abbasi in 201 Hijri, gold coins (dinar) and silver (dharm) were minted to the name of his holiness."
Mohammad Hussein Yazdinejad referred to the exhibition of the coins of Imam Reza (AS) and said: "On the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), various coins from the period of Ali-ibn al-Mussa ul Reza' (AS) succession, minted during his lifetime or after his martyrdom, between the years 202 to 204 AH in the cities of Isfahan, Samarqand, Mohammadiyah (Ray ) and Fars are put on show."
Pointing also to stamps presented in the treasury of the stamps, he said that the birth stamps of Imam Reza (AS), depicted with the image of the dome and minaret, Naqqareh Khaneh and the steel window are exhibited.
Referring to the first bills printed after the victory of the Islamic Revolution he said: "banknotes of the Central Bank of Iran with a sample stamp and a picture of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and the lion and Sun stamp, which are the first printed bills of the revolution with different amounts of money, are put on display in the treasury of stamps and banknotes."
"The picture of the stamp envelope special to commemoration of Imam Reza's birthday, which was signed by the officials of the post office of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Astan Quds Razavi, is also on display.
"This exhibition will attract enthusiasts until the end of the Karamat Days in the treasury of the stamps, coins and the banknotes of Astan Quds Razavi, located on the floor -1 of the central museum the Razavi Holy Shrine", Yazdinejad noted in the end.
