In the third period of Goharshad World Award with the presence of 1,200 active and benevolent women from around the world in the Quds Hall of the Razavi Holy Shrine, four women active in the field of Islamic resistance and awakening, cultural, charity, civil, medical, educational and research spheres were appreciated.
Umm Farve Naqavi, Mama Kikeh, Jomay Karofi and Dara Kat Tia are four ladies, who were praised by the “Goharshad World Award” for meritorious charity services.
Umm Farve Naqavi, Professor at the England University
Umm Farve Naqavi, Pakistani lady living in London, is a missionary, teacher and speaker on Islamic matters, especially the introduction of the Infallible Imams (A.S.) and Hazrat Zahra (S.A.), who has had many activities in educational, research, charitable and cultural affairs. Member of the European Muslim Women’s Union, Member of the General Assembly of the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) World Assembly, Director of the Labayk Ya Zahra Institute in London, conducting numerous TV programs on the introduction of the Infallible Imams (A.S.), holding festivity and demise ceremonies of the Infallible Imams (A.S.) with the vast presence of women in the UK, holding summits and religious scientific conferences on the teaching of pure Islam to non-Muslims and supporting orphans and needy families in Iran are some of the activities that she has carried out.
Mama Kikeh; Missionary and Cultural Activist
Mama Kikeh from Tanzania has been bestowed the Goharshad World Award, who has performed numerous activities in the field of development, medicine and charity. In charge of the women’s unit of the WIPAHS Organization, conducting various charitable activities, helping the needy people devoted to the Infallible Imams (A.S.) in Tanzania, setting up orphan house, covering orphans and Muslims in the region, attending numerous international conferences, member of the General Assembly of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly, active in medical affairs, relief and support for patients and participation in drinking water wells are of the actions conducted by this Muslim lady.
Jomay Karofi; Lady of Sacrifice and Resistance
Jomay Karofi, from Nigeria is the mother of five martyrs, who was influenced by the Imam Khomeini’s (R.A.) school in her youth and converted to Shia from Maliki’s religion. Graduated in library and information science field from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, she is also a keen advocate for Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky. She has done many activities in the field of sacrifice and resistance and has had a great deal of collaboration with Zinat Malma Ibrahim, the wife of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and the Islamic resistance movement of Nigeria. Promoting and speaking in different languages in order to promulgate the true teachings of Islam, writing religious books in Hausa language, the supervision of six martyr families and the payment of living expenses, the payment of tuition fees for the children of the martyrs, the author of the book “Biography of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky” in Hausa, which is also translated into English are among her activities.
Dara Kat Tia, the Founder of Thai Muslim Women’s Association
Dara Kat Tia is the founder of the Thai Muslim Women’s Association, who aims to help and defend the deprived, orphans and unsupervised families, in order to strengthen and elevate them in the right and healthy social and cultural path and letting them having access to education and entrepreneurship opportunities. The foundation now has various branches in the Thailand and is collaborating with several governmental and non-governmental organizations. The supervision of 100 Muslim and non-Muslim students in all levels of education and the donation of scholarships to students affected by the tsunami in southern Thailand are some of the Thai lady’s beneficent actions.
Head of the Muslim Women’s Foundation of Thailand, police performance inspection advisor, vice-president of the culture council of the Tank long region, chief executive of the Muslim women at the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W.) birthday anniversary, advisor to the Thailand-Pakistan Association, head of the Muslim and Buddhist Women Council, a former advisor to the Thai Ministers of Agriculture and Health and the head of the budget procurement group for building mosques represent some of the responsibilities of Dara Kat Tia.
