The service of sanitary complexes is one of the most important of these services. And the mentioned department has recently finished the rehabilitation of one of the sanitary complexes used by large numbers of visitors, especially during the Ziyarat of millions of visitors, because it is located close to the two holy shrines ('Agd Al-Sada), which necessitated continuous maintenance for the operational sustainability.
The head of the engineering maintenance department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Eng. Abbas Mousa, explained to the Al-Kafeel Network: "The rehabilitation of this complex is part of a series of projects carried out by the department working staff. The complex consists of three floors with a total area of 360 square meters, divided into equally number of sanitary facilities between men and women. The work included the maintenance of damaged walls, the removal of old floors to cover them with a new floor (marble and granite) after being treated with moisture and water proof materials.
He added: "The rehabilitation also included the maintenance of electricity, water, sewage, fire alarm and ventilation systems. It also included the construction of secondary ceilings, a modern lighting network, new doors, as well as Wudu' [ablution] points and other necessities of the complex, and is now ready to open its doors for the visitors."
