Speaking at the closing ceremony of the third round of Goharshad World Award which was participated by Astan Quds Razavi’s custodian, a group of senior managers in culture domain, winners of the prize and a large congregation of Iranian and foreign guests at Razavi Shrine’s Quds hall, Ali Sarvari Majd elaborated various aspects of holding Goharshad World Award.
He introduced this conference as an activity in line with the endeavor for using immense cultural capacity of Astan Quds Razavi to trigger deep cultural movements through introducing charity models. He also stressed, “This world award conference is held to appreciate elite and pious ladies of monistic religions under the name of one of the servants of the Imam (A.S.) that is “Goharshad”. This conference exalts world’s eight benefactor and educated ladies every year.
Sarvari Majd introduced Goharshad a personality in favor of art and knowledge who created one of the enormous architectures of Islam in the vicinity of eighth Imam’s (A.S.) shrine in a way that this construction is still a shelter for faithful people and divine angels.
“This mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in the Islamic world and a place for nurturing religious scholars. The place has hosted lots of historical developments the most important of which is the bloody movement of Goharshad mosque happened to defend veil and chastity”, he said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, secretary of the executive committee of Goharshad World Award referred to the formation of method sheet of the conference and stressed, “This prize is offered to the selected ladies based on the eight domains of sacrifice and martyrdom, resistance and Islamic awakening, notable and admirable activities in the areas of science, education and research, hard work in cultural, artistic and media domains, endowment and charity activities, construction affairs, management and entrepreneurship, and medical activities”.
Sarvari Majd also referred to the17-person committee of the world festival’s referees consisting of representatives of Astan Quds Razavi and other related organizations.
In another part of his talks, he referred to Goharshad scientific conference held last Ordibehesht/ May and mentioned that the gathering was held with the presence of academic figures from Iran and Iraq and the purpose of which was to scrutinize various aspects of this noble lady.
Sarvari Majd also talked about five worthy books written about lady Goharshad and other elite and educated women from the monotheistic religions and published by Beh Nashr publications, center of artistic creations, and documents center of Astan Quds Razavi.
Holding Goharshad poetry night was also introduced as another activity of the festival’s secretariat.
Sarvari also honored the memory of Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Muhammad Ja’far Tavakoli, Harat’s Friday prayer leader and member of managing board of Goharashad scientific-cultural conference, who was martyred by Takfiri terrorists in Afghanistan.
