Mostafa Khaksar Ghahroudi announced this news and said, “In cooperation with IRGC and Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, Astan Quds Razavi offered eight thousand packs of marriage portion for the beginning of life of needy young couples”.
He pointed to television set, oven, washing machine, carpet, fan and other needed items as the main components of these dowries and stated, “To support national productions, all the elements of these packs have been made in Iran and they are offered to these young couples during Karamat Ten Days”.
The deputy of Astan Quds Razavi relief for needy people introduced Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Ilam, Hormozgan, Kurdistan, Khuzestan, East and West Azerbaijan, Qom, Isfahan, Razavi, North and South Khorasan as the fourteen provinces to which these marriage portions have been given.
Regarding the selection process of these couples he said, “They have been introduced either by the supportive organizations or by the delegations of Astan Quds Razavi in various countries”.
2147 Dowry Subventions for Needy People
Khaksar also announced on the conferring of dowry subventions to 2147couples in need during Karamat Ten Days and stressed, “In addition to the eight thousand complete packs of dowries conferred to the needy people during these days, 2147 other couples received the dowry subvention in cash”. He also said that this money is ex gratia, so there is no need to be turned back”.
Noting that these dowry subventions have been given to eighteen provinces in the country, Astan Quds Razavi Deputy of Relief reiterated, “Ardebil, Zanjan, Boushehr, Fars, Markazi, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Golestan, Hamedan, Alborz, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Mazandaran, Gilan, Tehran, Ghazvin, Yazd, Semnan, and North Khorsan are the provinces to which these dowries have been given”.
