Carpeting of 240,000 sq.m. of Razavi Holy Shrine in Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations.

Deputy of Sacred Premises and Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi announced that 240,000 square meters of the sacred premises of the Razavi Holy Shrine will be carpeted during Karamat Ten-Day Celebration.

Sayed Khalil Monabati stated that 210,000 square meters of courtyards, sanctuaries and corridors, and 30,000 square meters of porticos are carpeted in these days and added, "More than 500 servants in the carpet service department of Astan Quds Razavi in three shifts are busy working with carpeting and at the end of any ceremony they clean, dust, and collect carpets."
"Throughout the year, more than 50,000 square meters new carpet was purchased and 4,000 square meters handmade carpets were produced, which are discarded by experts over a specified period of time", he added.
