Mojtaba Mokhtari, at a news conference on the 11th anniversary of Under the shade of the Sun public celebrations, which was held at the Youth Institute of Astan Quds Razavi and was attended by a number of media associate members said, “Under the Shade of the Sun Celebrations began since the beginning of the year 2007 and this year, the 11th anniversary of these celebrations will be held in 1500 places at the same time as the auspicious days of Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations.”
Speaking of general and qualitative goals of the celebrations Mokhtari said, “Building the culture of hope and happiness, laying the foundation for the spread of affection to the Infallible Imams (A.S.) and the pure teachings of Razavi tradition and conduct using the capacities of Astan Quds Razavi, the participation of national institutions and the encouragement and support of popular movements are among the goals of these festivities.”
He also mentioned the promotion of the tradition and the conduct of Imam Reza (A.S.) with the approach of expressing applied concepts tailored to the needs of the audience, the general atmosphere and the proper, commemoration of the Karamat Celebrations, learning and establishing the hope, solidarity and spiritual joy in the society, creating a proper platform and capacity for spiritual communication with Imam Reza (A.S.) and the increase and promotion of dedication and affection to the compassionate Imam (A.S.) of the other qualitative goals of these celebrations.
Holding Under the Shade of the Sun Celebrations in All Provinces
“In the past year, only 65 percent of the country’s cities had used the celebrations, and this year, thanks to the favor of Imam Reza (A.S.), Under the Shade of the Sun caravans will perform in all cities and towns of the country,” Mokhtari stated.
“75 Razavi caravans inside the country consisting of the crew of the Razavi Holy Shrine, the missionaries, the preachers, cultural activists and the Qur’an reciters, will be present in the celebration programs centered on the blessed flag of the Heavenly Court of Imam Reza (A.S.),” he expressed.
Holding More than 9,000 Cultural Programs
“2000 organizations with accompaniment of teenagers and the youth who promote Razavi’s culture and the devotees of Imam Reza (A.S.) throughout the country, and in the form of public and spiritual celebrations, perform more than 9,000 cultural operations in the geographic area of the country,” Managing Director of the Astan Quds Razavi Youth Institute stated.
“This year, girls’ celebrations entitled ‘Masoumeh’ will be held and 8,000 girls will attend these events,” he added.
Mokhtari recounted the visits to the representatives of the Supreme Leader in the provinces and congregational prayer leaders around the country, visits to different religious scholars, dispatching relief and medical groups along with Razavi caravans to the deprived areas, meeting with the families of the martyrs, the veterans etc., presence in hospitals, prisons, correctional centers, garrisons, special patient homes, nursing homes, universities, research centers, etc., included in the official programs of these caravans.
Support for Iranian Products and Appreciating the Manufacturers
“This year also with regard to the title of the year, ‘Supporting Iranian goods,’ presence in industrial centers, factories and small and large scale workshops, presence in the market and among the various guilds, especially sellers and producers of Iranian products, presence in production and knowledge-based study centers, appreciating craftsmen, entrepreneurs, scientists, workers, etc., are among the official programs in this period of celebrations,” he remarked.
Distribution of Three Million Blessed Packages
“The international a scale of Under the Shade of the Sun Celebrations in the current year will experience a significant qualitative growth along with the design of special events that will be held in three continents of Asia, Africa and Europe,” Mokhtari said.
“At this year’s celebrations, around 3 million blessed and cultural packages along with other gifts will be distributed in the provinces and cities of the country, among the devotees and lovers of the Eighth Imam (A.S.),” he said.
