The dedication ceremony, attended by Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi; Ali Akbar Velayati, the head of the Founding and Board of the Islamic Azad University; Farhad Rahbar, the Dean of the Islamic Azad University; members of the RoboCup team of Islamic Azad University and a group of senior executives of Astan Quds was held in the conference hall of the exhibitions center of the holy establishment.
Morteza Moussa Khani, head of Iran’s RoboCup National Committee, presented a report on the RoboCup activity of the Islamic Azad University at the Montreal World Tournament in Canada.
“Robotic sciences and artificial intelligence constitutes the pillars of the fourth industrial revolution,” he said, “to succeed in these areas, these sciences should be further explored in order to be able to move towards the achievement of the slogan of the Supreme Leader in 2018.
Moussa Khani called the application of the robot in the industry as a catalyst to mass production and mentioned the successes achieved in the military industry, home appliances and cars as a proof.
The head of Azad University of Qazvin also introduced the use of the capacity of country’s researchers and students in the field of robotics, an important factor in the competitiveness of the country’s industry coping with the world and emphasized, “Industrial development politicians should pay more attention to the field of robotics and artificial intelligence to provide the grounds for competitive industry.”
