The Activities of the Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi Were Expounded in the International Arena.

Meysam Mohtaji, at Astan Quds Razavi Public Relations’ working group meeting held at Razavi Hospital, described the activities of the Islamic Research Foundation in the international arena in four sections, saying, “The works published in the Islamic Research Foundation in foreign languages set up the first part in the international arena, most of which are in Arabic.”
“Works in English, Urdu, French, Russian, Bengali etc., are among the publications of the Islamic Research Foundation. Some of these works are among the banner works of the Center and have achieved high ranks in the festivals and conferences and also Book of the Year Ceremony,” he added.
“A part of the foreign language works of the Center originates from its cooperation with universities and international centers or non-Iranian researchers,” Mohtaji said.
Stating that the particularity of the translators of the Center is rooted in their researching function he expressed, “Fortunately, the researchers who translate different works in other languages have an authorship background and they are acquainted with the subjects of books. Hence, the result of their scientific work has always been welcomed by the enthusiasts and Muslim scholars.”
He recounted the second section of the Foundation’s international activities as holding specialized scientific conferences and seminars and stated, “The contents related to the field of Islamic sciences will be analyzed and discussed in these meetings in which we have the attendance of a number of the participants from other countries.”
Mohtaji pointed out that some of the speakers at the meetings of the Center are foreign scholars and said, “For instance, we can highlight the International Conference ‘Fi Rahab Imam Ali (A.S.)’, which was held by the presence of the Yemeni scholars in 2014. Also, the scientific meeting ‘The Role and Influence of the Shi’ite Authority in the West’ with the attendance and lecture of Professor Oliver Scharbrodt from the University of Birmingham, London was also a part of the program.”
Referring to the visit of scholars, scientists and researchers from countries around the world to the Islamic Research Foundation, the researcher said, “The third part of the activities is related to the visits of key individuals in the scientific fields from across the world.”
“During the 34-year lifetime of the Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi, this establishment has hosted the figures of the Muslim world as well as scientists from other countries and the visit by Iraqi religious authorities such as Ayatollah Yaqubbi, Christian activists in the approximation of Ibrahimi religions from Sweden, the head of the Iraqi Kut University, Sunni scholars from neighboring countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, etc., reflects the importance of the establishment in the Muslim world and the religious territory,” he reiterated.
“The Islamic Research Foundation has always been active in international exhibitions held in other countries. For instance, this year at the 14th Karbala Book Exhibition, a booth was given to the Foundation and this establishment with an active presence managed to sell one hundred percent of the works submitted to the exhibition,” Meysam Mohtaji said, pointing out the fourth section of the Foundation’s international activities as participation in international exhibitions.
“Furthermore, in the 31st International Book Exhibition of Tehran, which was held in May this year, the Foundation in the hall of foreign publishers in the Arabic section presented its latest works to the audience and fortunately received a great deal of welcome,” he remarked.
He assessed the cooperation of the Institute with the Center for International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi, Al-Mustafa International University, the University of Religions and other international scientific centers fruitful and said, “God willing, while strengthening scientific research cooperation with other centers we should produce and publish works in line with the dignity of Imam Reza (A.S.) in order to become more successful and influential in the international arena.”
