Head of the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Eng. Abbas Musa Ahmad explained: "After that the technical and engineering staff working in the carpentry workshop of our department gained the expertise and competence that qualify them to undertake any project within its field of competence. And as a result of the expansion of the holy shrine's institutions, and their need of furniture as well as decorations, we have decided to expand our work level and have provided the workshop with the machinery and equipment that will contribute to the manufacture of these products. And all praise to God, the results were good and positive as there was harmony and interaction in the work resulting products of high-quality specifications and models and designs that meet the tastes of beneficiaries, keeping up with the global development happening in this area."
He added: "We have equipped and furnished most of the departments operating in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which has seen an expansion in its work. our workshop has manufactured and equipped them by modern office furniture, bedrooms, dining rooms of all kinds, reception sets and dining table sets, computer tables, wooden closets, furniture of libraries and schools, wooden doors of various sizes, types of wooden furniture with metal structures). All these works were carried out using imported raw materials of wood, in accordance with the fluctuations of the Iraqi atmosphere and with modern and sophisticated specifications and models similar to those imported."
Eng. Abbas said at the end of his speech: "These works are the first and we are planning to expand them in the future, God willing, to widen our work level to include the Iraqi consumer, the state departments and institutions and others."
It is worth mentioning that the engineering maintenance department is one of the supporting and back-up departments of the establishments of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. And it takes the responsibility a number of things such as maintenance and sustainability of all the holy shrine's facilities, as well as the construction and manufacturing matters that are at the heart of most of its projects.
