Astan Quds Razavi’s Central Library Hosts 2500 Manuscripts, Lithographic and Digital Sources with Topic of Imam Ali (A.S.).

Over 2500 manuscripts, lithographic copies, and digital sources with the topic of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) exists in central library of Astan Quds Razavi. Age of some of these copies reach back to the 8th century.


expert responsible of manuscripts office of Astan Quds Razavi’s organization of libraries, museums, and document center announced on the presence of over 2500 manuscripts, lithographic texts, and digital sources with the topic of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) including his words, traditions, qualities, and approval of caliphate. He also said that these sources are kept in manuscripts treasury of Astan Quds Razavi’s central library. Elsewhere in his remarks he said, “This collection comprised of 600 handwritten texts, around two thousand lithographic works, and seventeen digital versions except many various copies of Nahj al-Balaghe and holy books attributed to Imam’s (A.S.) handwriting. In addition to all these, around eight thousand print books are available on the same topic in Astan Quds Razavi’s central library.
Seyyed Muhammad Reza Fazel Hashemi referred to two copies written in the 8th century and said, “Kash al-Qomah fi Marefat al-Aemah (settling ambiguities in recognizing infallible Imams) was created by Ali Ibn Isa Erbri in 7th century and was written in 748/ 1347 Also, Tanziyat al-Anbia and Aemah (glorifying prophets and Imams) was compiled by Ali Ibn Hussein Alam al-Huda, an expert from the 5th century written in 787/ 1385 This second one was on Islamic discourse”. 
He also referred to a copy with the topic of affirmation of Hazrat Ali’s (A.S.) caliphate and said, “Sheikh Tabarsi’s Ehtejaj by Ahmad Ibn Ali Tabarsi was shaped in the 6th century and was written in the 11th century”.
Fazel Hashemi added, “Holy traditions (Qudsiyeh Hadiths) which are Abollah Ibn Abass’s narration from Hazrat Ali (A.S.) was endowed to Astan Quds Razavi in 1345/ 1927 by Nader Shah. Also, another copy with the title of Mesbah al-Anzar (lights of eyes) is on pure aphorisms of Imam Ali (A.S.) and it has been written in the 10th century. This work was dedicated to the organization by Shir Ahmad Touni”.
He also referred to two other works written in the 11th century and added, “Best advices and precious words by Abd al-Wahed Ibn Muhammad Amadi is a book on words and statements of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) set alphabetically in 1021/ 1612 in Najaf. This valuable work has been endowed to Astan Quds Razavi by Mirza Reza Naeini. Mashareq-e Anvar Yaghin (rise of determination beam) written by Rajab Ibn Muhammad Hafez Barsi is another copy whose compilation turns back to the 8th century”.
Expert of the manuscripts office reiterated, “Ta’yen al-Mokhalefin al-Amir almomenin (identifying averse of Imam Ali) of Mohaghegh Korki, one of the salient experts of the 10th century, was written in the 13th century and al-Fosul al-Mohemah fi Ma’refat al-Aemah (important questions in recognizing Imams) written by Ibn Sabaq in the 9th in another valuable books existing in Astan Quds Razavi”. 
Fazel Hashemi also talked about three digital copies of this collection and said, “Forty Words or Forty Surahs from Torah is a source with the topic of Hazrat Ali’s (A.S.) traditions written in the 11th century. Nasr al-Ali (pieces of jewelry) of Sheikh Tabarsi which has collected aphorisms of the Imam (A.S.) and translation of Mesbah and Komeil supplications by Modarres Chehardehi, one of the experts of the 13th century, written in Karbala in another existing manuscript in Astan Quds Razavi’s central library with the topic of first Imam of Shia people.
