Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Hashemi Orazgani, at the conference “Razavi Culture and Lady Goharshad” which was held in collaboration with the Document and Press Management of the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center said, “The character of Lady Goharshad is the ground for the coherence and harmony of two geographies of current Afghan and Iran’s culture and history.”
“Despite the dichotomies in history, the two countries of Iran and Afghanistan have civilization and historical links and by looking at the works and endowments of Lady Goharshad in these two regions, it is felt that Herat and Mashhad are both the coherent components of a culture” he stated.
Highlighting the agenda of the world’s policy makers to separate these two cultures, the university professor said, “When the grave of Lady Goharshad is seen in Herat and her mother in the Shrine, that is these two are one and there are many historical and cultural parallels between them”.
He mentioned commemorating a woman in the position of Lady Goharshad, a new narration in today's atmosphere of a woman's character and added, “Addressing the character of Lady Goharshad highlights the role of women regarding the prosperity of Islamic culture.”
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Hashemi Orazgani considered this movement a response to the false propaganda of the West of woman’s image in Islam, in which women lived in the historic boondocks and did not have any mobility in the course of history.
“We Muslims are responsible for the perverted views that exist on women's personality in the world today and we should see our future history the way we were, we are, and we should be, and if it does not happen, this path will remain empty” he stressed.
