The communications Division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine completed the development and replacement of the holy sanctuary's cameras.

As a continuation of its development projects and its series of technical achievements, the Communications Division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine of the Department of Engineering Projects completed the tasks of developing and replacing the cameras of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (PBUH).

According to the official of the division, engineer Firas Abbas Hamza: "The project was complementary to previous projects, in order to keep abreast of the huge and accelerating development in the world of communications, information technology and security technologies in the world and the urgent need to employ the advanced technologies to serve the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. Especially that we have been keen that the communications projects and cameras implemented in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine are in the first place in terms of keeping pace with the security development in design and excellent implementation."

He added: "The project aims to increase the efficiency of the holy sanctuary's cameras by replacing them and installing 47 new modern cameras with high efficiency."

Hamza said: "The project had required the field study then removing the old cameras system of the sanctuary, as well as the old wires that were not organized, and the installation, programming and guidance of additional cameras in the holy sanctuary, with new wiring system for the added cameras to obtain full coverage of the sanctuary, and storing the outputs of these cameras in special servers separately (for men and women).

The stages of the project's work are:

First: Design phase: An integrated design was prepared by our engineering staff working in the division, through which new sites were chosen for cameras to get a full coverage of the holy sanctuary better than before.

Second: System construction phase: The network wiring of the newly added camera sites was installed in a hidden and systematic way, and the new cameras were installed according to the study that was done in advance, rearranging the linking devices and make them hidden as well.

Third: The programming stage: The cameras' system for the men and women were programmed, in addition to programming new cameras in the sites that needed coverage enhancement, programming video recorders and arranging cameras on large screens.

Fourth: Operating phase: The operation of the camera system included the sanctuary the side of men after they were added in the camera management servers, and then the operation of the camera system in the sanctuary the side of women after they were previously added to their recording devices, and arrange the display of cameras in the main screen of the surveillance.

He concluded: "The work was done in record time by the staff of our division without the help of any party, noting that these works previously costed a lot to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. We have done experimental testing to the system which proved its success and then we started operating it as usual."
