Imam Ali (A.S.) Shrine’s 8th Shipment of Wood Was Sent.

Supervisor of Astan Quds Razavi wood company said, “The 8th shipment of wood for Hazrat Ali (A.S.) Holy Shrine was sent with the presence of Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, CEO of the Razavi Economic Organization”.


In an interview, Muhammad Javad Tabasi stated, “This shipment includes different types of exquisite doors and windows with traditional design”.
He continued, “These pieces have been made up of Burmese teak. With respect to its physical characteristics and also its greasy texture, this kind of wood is very appropriate for Najaf’s climate in which the temperature difference during various seasons is around 60 degrees”.  
Referring to the sending of 300 square meters of products including 76 doors and windows by the 8th shipment, Tabasi said, “Some of these pieces are going to be installed in shoes keeping rooms and seminary students’ school in pilgrimage section. Also, some other doors and windows of this shipment will be installed as doors and windows of museum building and also administrative building locating in non-pilgrimage section”.
He went on to say, “Sending this load, 551 and 105 doors and windows have ever been produced and sent by Astan Quds Razavi wood company for pilgrimage and non-pilgrimage sections respectively”.
Regarding the design used in these products, Tabasi said, “Islamic-Iranian arts including wood-carving and girih tiles and forms have been used on these products”.
He added, “12 doors for connecting the old shrine with Hazrat Zahra (S.A.) Portico and steel window of Hazrat Om al-Banin (S.A.) were produced by the company in the last contract”.
Supporting Iranian product was introduced by Tabasi as a necessity for expansion of activities of Astan Quds Razavi wood company. He also emphasized, “This Company’s products are enough to meet high proportion of the country’s need”.
Supervisor of Astan Quds Razavi wood company went on to say, “This Company is active in all areas related to production of wooden items of religious places, hotel and hostels, libraries, administrative, etc.”
