This spiritual tradition, which lasted until nightfall in the Dar al-Rahmah and Kowthar porticos of the Razavi Holy Shrine, included the Holy Qur'anic recitation, prayers and special acts of the Sha'ban 15th night, Komeil prayer and praying for the advent of the Imam of the Time (A.S.). During the ceremony, Hujjat al - Islam Seyyed Samir al-Musawi, at Dar al-Rahmah, explained the philosophy of waiting for Imam of the Time (A.S.) and expressed the significance of the Shaban 15th night. In the following, pilgrims were engaged in worshipping and praying for the health of the Imam Mahdi (A.S.).
The pilgrimage prayers of Imam Hussein (A.S.) and Hazrat Khizr (A.S.) were also recited on this night. The Kowthar portico was also a place where the ritual of the Sh'aban 15th night was performed with presence of pilgrims from India and Pakistan.
The ceremony which began after the evening prayers continued with recitation of supplication by Shamsuddin Ja'fari. Then the Sha'abaniyah chanting was recited and Hujjat al - Islam Seyyed Ali Afzal Zaidi delivered a speech with the subject of waiting in the words of Imam Khomeini (R.A.).
During these spiritual ceremonies, the pilgrims and waiters of Hujjat (A.S.) prayed for the arrival of Imam Mahdi (A.S.).
