On the night of Imam Hussein’s (A.S.) birthday anniversary, the whole Razavi Shrine was filled with light and the courtyards and porticos of which was the rendezvous point for pilgrims and lovers who attended to congratulate Imam Reza (A.S.) and take advantage of Razavi's knowledge.
On the occasion of this auspicious night, by the Advertisement Deputy of Astan Quds Razavi, various programs have been prepared for pilgrims and neighbors at Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Shrine.
Reading eulogy and natal chants by preachers of the Infallible Imams (A.S.), the speech of Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Dr. Rafiei in Imam Khomeini's (R.A.) Portico and the performance of the hymn and choir summed up the programs of Imam Hussein’s (A.S.) birthday anniversary in the Razavi Holy Shrine.
Hujjat al-Islam Rafiei, at this magnificent event referring to the fact that Imam Hussein (A.S.) was called Aba-abdollah since childhood said, “Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) called Imam Hussein (A.S.) as ‘The ornament of the heavens and the earth, the guidance light and the salvation ship”.
“One day, Abi bin Ka'b was in the presence of the Messenger of God when Imam Hussein (A.S.) arrived. The Prophet looked at him and said, ‘O’ Aba-abdollah, O’ the ornament of the heavens and the earth’. Abi bin Ka'b said with amazement: ‘O’ Prophet (S.A.W.), besides you is there any other ornament of the heavens and the earth?’ The Prophet (S.A.W.) replied: ‘O Abi bin Ka'b, I swear to the God who sent me, Hussein (A.S.) in heavens is higher than the earth and it is written to the right of the divine throne: ‘Al-Hussein ... the guidance light and the salvation ship’” he recounted.
“It is stated in the traditions that to the right of the throne of God is written, ‘Hussein, the guidance light and the salvation ship, the leader of goodness and blessing, honor and glory and the sea of knowledge and a treasure which is reserved for the future” the seminary professor stated.
“One of the traits and attributes of Aba-abdollah (A.S.), which is to pay more attention to, and we should have it defined for ourselves is courage. The courage of Aba-abdollah (A.S.) and his companions is a great and unique courage, both before and on Ashura day” he said on the courage of Imam Hussein (A.S.).
“When it comes to bravery, our idea is to fight well and stand up well against the enemy; however, this is only one type of courage” Dr. Rafiee expressed.
“After the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.), Ibn Ziad went over the pulpit in a session that he had arranged and began to insult Imam Hussein (A.S.) and Imam Ali (A.S.). Everyone was sitting and listening while they knew he was lying and there was no one to protest, this is a fear. However, a veteran named Abdullah bin Afif, who had lost one of his eyes in the Safin, and the other in Jamal wars beside Imam Ali (A.S.) stood up and said: ‘Ibn Ziad, you yourself, your father and your ancestors are liar’ he said, introducing honesty as one of the brave man's signs.”
The lecturer of Razavi Holy Shrine pointed out that tolerance and social patience are signs of courage and emphasized, “Courage is sometimes telling the truth and our officials and our politicians must pay attention to.”
“According to the Prophet of God, the one who has these three traits is brave; he would not be unfair in anger, he would not sin if the scene is prepared, and in power he would not rapine anything that is not his property” he remarked.
