Corresponding to the anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali (PBUH), the activities of the annual poetry festival in the holy shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH) were begun. The head of the Shia Endowment Sayyid Ala, the head of the Administrative Committee of the Holy Shrine, a number of officials in the holy shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH), academic personages, and common people attended the festival.
The activities began by reciting some verses of the Holy Quran. Afterwards, Sayyid Ala gave a speech about Imam Ali (PBUH). Then came the poets and recited their poems and chants.
At the conclusion of the festival, the families of the late employees of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH) were presented with gifts as a means of honoring them.
