The holy shrines of Karbala participate in the Conference of Muslim Scholars in Islamabad, Pakistan.

With the participation of a delegation of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (PBUT) and amid the presence of a group of scholars from all sects, the fifth conference of Muslim Scholars was held on Thursday March 29, 2018 by al-Kawthar Islamic University amid extensive media coverage.

This conference is held to reduce the gaps between the Islamic sects in front of the attempts to instigate strife and division between them.

The conference started by a recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran by the reader and Mu'ezzin of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Haj Adel al-Karbala'i, followed by speeches of the representatives of the Islamic sects stressing on rejecting all that calls for division and sectarianism among Islamic groups and emphasizing on countering the hostile attempts by the enemies of Islam, which seeks all that is possible to sow sectarian strife.

The speeches also included stressing on the duties of the scholars and clerics in confronting rumors that affect Islamic religion, especially the attempts seeking to distort the image of Islam among the youth.

The speech of the two holy shrines was delivered by Sayed Mohamad Ali al-Hilo from Hawza of Najaf demonstrating the importance of this conference face to the fierce terrorist attack that seek to sow distinction, and highlighting the importance of the solidarity in these circumstances, in which media campaigns promote the idea that Islam is a religion of fanaticism and isolationism. He concluded his word by thanking the organizers for this conference and conveying the regards of the supreme religious authority in Najaf; Sayed Ali al-Sistani to all the presence and his directives stressing on the necessity of being unified.
