Sheikh Jassim al-Kadhim on the sidelines of attendance to Imam Reza's (A.S.) Shrine said, “Imam Reza (A.S.) is the symbol of unity among Islamic sects and the presence of Shi’ite and Sunni in this Heavenly Court adds to the strengthening of the relationship between the two sects.
He highlighted the meetings between the Holy Shrines as valuable and emphasized, “The Islamic Republic of Iran not only has the ability to strengthen the interaction between the Holy Shrines, but also has a very high level of competence in the issue of unity and approximation of the sects in the Muslim world.”
“Before the arrival of ISIS, the enemies sought to divide Shi’ite and Sunni, thank God we were able to overcome this very difficult stage and with the aid of the tribes’ leaders we nullified this sedition, but unfortunately, ISIS inflicted a lot of damage including the explosion in Samarra” Sheikh Jassim al-Kadhim said.
“The Iranian people stood beside us, and they contributed so much facing the ISIS and other enemies, and I myself was a warrior present at the battlefield and I witnessed the presence of Gen. Qasem Soleimani conspicuous, and thank God through the resistance of all Iranian forces we were able to prevent the dangerous entry of ISIS into Iraq” he stated, appreciating the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.
Sheikh Jassim Al-Kadhim expressed his satisfaction over the presence of Ayatollah Sistani in Iraq, adding, “Today, we owe the triumph over ISIS to the fatwa of this great scholar who ordered us to fight.”
He mentioned the unity between Shi'ite and Sunni as effective in defeating the Takfiri group of ISIS and commented, “The ISIS enemies had reached the entrance to Kadhimiya, which along with our Sunni brothers we managed to get them out of this holy city.
At the end, he expressed his gratitude for Astan Quds Razavi’s Center for International Affairs that had provided the opportunity for attendance, enjoyment and familiarity with the cultural opportunities of Astan Quds Razavi for Iraqi Muslims.
