The camp was attended by (85) students and was distinguished by its numerous activities such as lectures on human development, lectures on national development, Quranic competitions, morning sports, recreational sessions and discussion sessions on elementary issues, in addition to lectures in first aid and a heritage tour.
"What distinguishes the quality of this camp is the distance from the province of Karbala," said Azhar al-Rikabi, head of the university relations department. "It was erected at the Kassara site of the holy shrine in the Karbala desert near Al-Ukhaydir fortress."
"The weather conditions are a challenge for the students participating in the camp. For the first time they are going through such climatic conditions. The accommodation will be in the tents, which are divided into groups. In each tent there will be an official to facilitate the needs and the work within the camp system."
The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in turn, held this project to create a work environment with one team spirit and to feel the national spirit of our heroic security forces who defended the homeland, "said Azhar Rikabi." There are some instructions given to the participants to learn how to rely on oneself, and therefore it is an exploratory camp to disclose the energies that will appear for us to be contained and developed and this is the ultimate goal of such camps."
He explained that "the activities of the camp program are very enjoyable despite the presence of some challenges and difficulties, and there is a team for the project of the National Al-Kafeel Youth of the Division of University Relations that will reside in the camp to meet the needs of participants."
