Aron Teres Kalino introduced rich culture of Iran and Islam as the main reason behind his conversion to Islam and said, “I studied for six consecutive months and I made some touches with Muslims so that I can increase my information in this area and reach to an appropriate of confidence”.
Referring to the invasions of western media to Islam in recent years, he said, “I was fully aware of these propagations and I knew the border between Islam and terrorism. I also knew the difference between Islamic teachings and those of other religions appropriately. Therefore, I had no hesitation or doubt in my choice and I did not pay attention to the ongoing negative propagation”.
This newly converted young man added, “Islam is a message from God which was offered to the humanity by the divine prophets. This religion is replete with peace and friendship teachings and its orders are all based on rationality”. He also said, “There is a flagrant difference between real Islam and what has been depicted by the western media”.
He stressed, “My understanding of Islam was a religion full of violence, terrorism and extremism; however, it was changed after a while of studying. I actually found out that Islam is the most complete religion and whose teachings are bring message of peace and friendship”.
Kalino emphasized, “I have decided to get other people familiar with this religion when I returned to my country. I want to propagate this religion and express its concepts and teachings in plain terms for others”.
Aron who has chosen Sajjad as his new Muslim name, said, “As a Mexican, I am very happy to convert to Islam in a holy and spiritual place and in a country like Iran”.
It is worth mentioning that at the end of this ceremony, Islam conversion certificate and some cultural gifts were awarded by the management of non-Iranian pilgrims’ office of Astan Quds Razavi.
