Number of Members in Astan Quds Razavi’s Central Library: 211900

Mohammad Mashayekhi went on to say, “3124 women and 2449 men are new members of the library during this period”.
He stated, “Over 1 million and 445 thousand pilgrims and citizens have enjoyed services of different parts of the Astan Quds Razavi’s public library since the beginning of the current year”.
Mashayekhi added, “24-hour specialized library of the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) by offering services to 265 thousand members and open study hall of central library of the organization by hosting 229253 persons had the highest number of visitors and clients among other affiliated parts of this organization in the last nine months”.
Noting that over 1726800 copies of books have been studied by libraries’ members during this term, he said, “Also, more than 393 thousand books have been borrowed by the members in the same period”.
Chief of the public library of Astan Quds Razavi added, “To add to the richness of the study sources and to provide members with more efficient sources, more than 93 thousand print, electronic, thesis and dissertation, audio and visual information sources have ever been added to the subparts of this office”.
“Having various parts including researchers’ hall, hall of foreign language books, open hall for both ladies and gentlemen, study and circulation halls for boy and girl teenagers, ladies and gentlemen’s press halls, Audio and visual part, comprehensive electronic library and specialized libraries of Qura’an and traditions sciences, the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.), Islamic economy, literature, and geography, this office hosts book and study lovers throughout the year”, he continued.
Mashayekhi said, “Central library of Astan Quds Razavi hosts a wide range of members from teenagers (grade 6 students) to PhD candidates, and also university and seminary professors everyday”.
He added, “By presenting an identity card, guest and non-member visitors of the library particularly research loving pilgrims can enjoy various services such as studying Persian and Arabic books in open halls and specialized libraries, studying sources in hall of foreign language books which has books in more than ninety living languages including English, French, Urdu, German, Turkish, Russian, etc”.
Chief of the office continued, “Also, accessing to the dissertations and theses (in accordance with rules), websites and information bases in comprehensive electronic library, using net in gentlemen and ladies internet halls, and making copy of sources (scan and copy service center) are among other services of the office. Librarians and experts of the center are all present to give guidance to the visitors in all the above mentioned parts”.
