Sayyid Ala the head of the Shia Endowment, the head and the members of the Administration Committee of the Holy Shrine, and the staffs of the national center attended the competition.
Afterwards, Rafi’ al-Aamiri the director general of the National Center gave a speech. Then Sayyid Ala talked about the holiness and importance of Allah’s book. He mentioned the two weighs hadith: “I am leaving among you the two weighty things: the book of Allah (in which there is light and guidance) and my household. So hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. These two will never separate from each other until they come to me at the water of al-Kawthar. Be mindful how you treat them after me.”
In a statement to the Media Center of the Holy Shrine, the assistant head of the House of the Holy Quran Sheikh Ala Mohsin said, “The national center have previously met with us and we prepared and facilitated their needs. The winners shall represent Iraq in the International Quranic Competition.”
