.“Iranian Wrestler Action Was a Sports Jihad against the Zionist Regime”

Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi described the action of Alireza Karimi, the prominent Iranian wrestler, a sports jihad against the Zionist usurper regime and said, “Through this action, the message of disgust and hatred of the Iranian people over the atrocities and crimes of Israel was heard throughout the world.”

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, during a meeting with the champion wrestler, Alireza Karimi, which was held in the Wilayat Hall of the Razavi Holy Shrine stated, “Your work was a sports jihad and from the mats of the wrestling, you fought the usurper and child-killer regime. In jihad, an individual sacrifices his life for a divine purpose, you also gave up your right and the absolute chance of championship for a divine and humanistic purpose.”
“In a world that unfortunately some people, even in some states in Islamic countries are seeking to normalize the tyranny and occupation of the Zionist regime, and relations with them, actions like yours is like a wake-up call” Member of the Expediency Council reiterated.
“This jihadi movement against the false and usurious Zionist regime brought a clear message of disgust and hatred of the Iranian people against the crimes and oppression of Israel to the oppressed Palestinian people” Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi expressed.
“Mr. Karimi is a new generation of the Islamic Revolution” he added “and he has not seen the days of the victory of this revolution; this proud action proves that our youths are familiar with the message and the ideals of the Revolution and Imam Khomeini (R.A.) and continue the path of the martyrs”.
