The director of the Division of Early Detection and Prevention of Cancer at the Ministry of Health and the lecturer at this seminar Dr. Sana Abd al-Razzaq al-Mansour told us about this workshop: "This workshop is a program for the control of cancer in the early times, through prevention with a greater focus on breast cancer, which is widespread among women, as the rate of breast cancer is almost equivalent to half of the cancer cases. And we have also programs mobile campaigns that go to remote areas for the work of screening for women by radiation, in addition to the program of cancer registration and clarify solutions to prevent cancer."
Adding: "The workshop, which lasted for three days, aims to improve the health situation in our society and to develop the competencies of its employees, and to find out the most important obstacles facing health workers in all Iraqi provinces, and the early detection of cancer, especially breast cancer, by highlighting the most important causes of this disease, including environmental pollution and exposure to radiation, both from nature such as UB rays or radiation used in life, as well as eating some foods containing preservatives that may cause this disease, with the introduction of preventive methods of this disease."
During the course of this workshop, there were extensive inputs and discussions on this subject in order to come up with a common scientific vision that can be applied on the ground.
