The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine celebrates the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Babylon University.

The al-'Ameed Center for Research and Studies of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in cooperation with the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at Babylon University, held a cultural festival on the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (AS).


The festival, which was held on Tuesday 16th of Rabi' Awwal 1439 AH corresponding to the December 5, 2017 under the slogan "the great Prophet: True approach and great ethic." in the hall of Shahid Sadr in the mentioned university. The festival began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by reading Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. then came the word of the al-'Ameed Center for Research and Studies, which was delivered by Dr. Sha'lan Abd Ali about the personality of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household): "Today, we gather to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) in a ceremony extended to support and contribute from this scientific edifice; Babylon University, and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by the al-'Ameed International Center for the research and studies, which is concerned with all scientific and intellectual issues and provides them with the hand of advocacy and support..."

Then came the word of the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences, which was delivered by the Secretary of the College council, Dr. Ahmad Rashid al-Dadah.

The beautiful rhymes made in the last word followed by poems about the love of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household). After that, a group of students presented a play in English about the subconscious mind of the western man and containing texts of the hadiths of Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household).

The ceremony was followed by a lecture given by Dr. Hana Jawad titled "Prophet of Mercy and the spiritual call", then a lecture of Prof. Dr. Abd al-Sattar al-'Ameri titled "Distortion and falsification in the Prophet's Biography". The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of appreciation certificates and honoring the first students of the final stages of the Faculty of Education of Human Sciences.
