The closing ceremony of the first Women Scientific Conference of Karbala Holy Shrines was held.

The first Women Scientific Conference was concluded on Wednesday November 29, 2017, which was held by the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (PBUH) and the Division of the women library of the Department of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the slogan "I recommend you, dear sister, to take good care of yourself!" and with the theme of: "Karbala: Beauty and responsibility".


The closing session was held at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine preceded by two research sessions, the first one was held in the hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) directed by Dr. Fatima al-Sallami and Dr. Noor al-Sa'idi as reporter, the session included 12 research, the second research session was held in the hall of al-Qassem (peace be upon him) directed by Dr. Ibtisam al-Madani and Dr. Zahra al-Musawi with 12 research too.

The research that were presented in these two sessions was a completion of the research session held in the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine in the morning and yesterday, all in accordance with the conditions of the scientific committee for choosing the research.

The closing session began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and then listening the national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Then, the welcoming speech was delivered by the Director of the Women's Library Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Prof. Ashwaq Abd al-Ameer, who welcomed the attendees and the participants in this conference that lasted two days. She also praised the researchers for their efforts to highlight the intellectual and scientific aspects of Muslim women in the past and the present...

Adding: "This conference has been crowned with success, excellence and brilliance in all its dimensions and its technical, coordination and media aspects. However, the scientific research have dominated the other dimensions."

Then Dr. Noor al-Sa’idi has presented the conclusions and recommendations of the conference, which were as follows:

1- Through this conference, we have been able to highlight the bright image of women in Karbala by presenting their different roles.

2- Emphasize the need for scientific communication and cooperation between the holy shrines.

3- The need to work hard to activate the presence of women in various scientific fields.

4- The need for scientific communication with researchers participating in the conference.

5- The need to give interest by the holy shrines and the religious institutions to the researchers and benefit from them in the scientific and cultural fields.

6- The need to establish such scientific conferences in our religious horizons periodically and within the systematic planning.

A documentary film was screened to highlight the women's activities at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, then appreciation certificates and shields were distributed to the participants as well as honoring those who have contributed in the success of this conference.
