Conveying Sublime Religious Concepts in the Form of Poetry Is the Mission of Religious Poets.

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Jalal Hosseini, during the first night of the Arbaeen International Poetry Night stated, “The current situation, in which the global hegemony by exploiting virtual space and social networks has targeted the beliefs and ethical behaviors of the youths, attracting young people to religious tendencies and confronting the cultural plots of enemies is the main mission of artists and poets.”
“Short poetry, sometimes conveys the highest teachings of the Qur'an and Infallible Imams (A.S.) to the audience, so our religious poets according to current problems and needs in the world and using the culture of the Infallible Imams (A.S.), should revive their culture” he said, referring to the fact that the transfer of high religious concepts is necessary in the form of poetry.
Hujjat al-IslamHosseini, pointing out that religious poetry should not be inspired by emotions and excitements, expressed, “Familiarity with the teachings of the Infallible Imams (A.S.), the recognition of the priorities of expression and the confrontation with the enemies of religion is one of the things that makes the poetry influential”.
“What makes the artist lasting and his name eternal in minds, is adherence to religious values and attention to the culture of the Infallible Imams (A.S.)” Deputy Director of Islamic Advertising of Astan Quds Razavi remarked.
“Good religious poetry should be able to gather both the content and the form, two important features of attention to the Holy Qur'an, verses and traditions, as well as cultures, subcultures and folk rituals and traditions, so that it can manifest the correct image of the poet's thoughts” he added.
“Strengthening the people’s beliefs foundations is essential in order to confront enemy invasion and poets must by relying on the themes of the Infallible Imams (A.S.) create lasting and influential works and play their role in institutionalizing Razavi's culture” Hujjat al-Islam Hosseini reiterated.
It should be noted, the first Arbaeen International Poetry Night by presence of 400 poets from twenty countries, Tuesday evening, November 14th, was held at the Exhibitions and Conferences Center of Astan Quds Razavi at the entrance of Bab al-Jawad.
