15-Year-Old Endeavor For Serving On-Foot Pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.).

Chief of staff of Astan Quds Razavi said, “The oldest welcome station of on-foot pilgrims has started its activities for the 15th consecutive year, on the occasion of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) martyrdom anniversary”


Referring to the records of this station, Muhammad Tavakoli reiterated, “This station which is considered the most famous welcome station for on-foot pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.) is handled by shoe keepers and light staff of Razavi Holy Shrine for about fifteen years”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he added, “This station has started its activities since Aban 20th / November 11th in Molk Abad, forty kilometers away from Mashhad, and will be open up to martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S.)”.
Referring to the offered services in this center, Tavakoli stated, “For the time being, this center is able to host six thousand on-foot pilgrims, having a six thousand square meters roofed space. Also, with respect to the coldness of the weather, the station has been equipped with air conditioner and there are enough blankets for all pilgrims”.
“Enjoying a specialized kitchen, the center can serve over fifteen thousand pilgrims with warm meals”, he added.
Noting that more than 300 volunteer servants are working in this center during last days of Safar, Astan Quds Razavi’s chief of staff added, “This center has got a thirty-person group of physicians who treat pilgrims’different kinds of injuries. There are also thirty women to render services to the female pilgrims”. 
Muhammad Tavakoli continued and mentioned, “Cultural activities such as collective prayers, knowledge circles, answering religious questions, etc. have been provisioned by cultural organization of Astan Quds Razavi to increase knowledge level of the pilgrims”.
He also said, “Twelve welcome stations outside of Mashhad and forty stations inside the city have been set up by Astan Quds Razavi to serve on-foot pilgrims, during last ten days of Safar, demise anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), and martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S.). These centers provide Razavi pilgrims with services of accommodation, three warm meals, and medical services”.
