The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has deployed inside the holy sanctuary more than 350 paramedics in form of groups in all sides of the holy sanctuary and at the entrances in addition to five fixed medical detachments inside the holy shrines.
The head of the medical rescue teams; Mr. Bilal Jabbar al-Khafaji stated: "Under the guidance of the General Secretary of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, we initiated an organized plan to rescue the visitors, as result of the overcrowding during the Ziyarat, and more than 350 paramedics were deployed in addition to five medical detachments inside the holy sanctuary, two for men and three for women."
Adding: "a number of doctors in various medical specialities have participated in this plan: 35 Iraqi doctors; 15 men doctors and 20 women doctors, in addition to 9 doctors from Pakistan."
Noting: "In addition to doctors, there is 70 nurses and a number of pharmacists in the medical detachments, as well as participants of those having academic degrees and who have entered specialized courses in first aid and how to transfer the patient."
