Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, in the special program of “Mourning Permission”, held on the last day of the month of Dhi al-Hijah, and on the occasion of the beginning of the month of Muharram, held at the Islamic Revolutionary Courtyard of Razavi Holy Shrine, stating that the permission to mourn has been given to all humanity by the Infallible Imams (A.S.) said, “At this gathering, we seek the special permission of mourning.”
Member of the Expediency Council, expressing that in the Ashura movement, Imam Husain's (A.S.) companions, attended the battlefield with insight stated, “It was the character of the Imam Husain's (A.S.) companions, whose insight ruled their swords. These nobles recognized the friend and enemy, the path and the leader well.”
Ashura Discourse, Fighting Oppression, and Resistance against Oppressors
“The Ashura movement, consists of the discourse of fighting oppression and resistance against oppressors, enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. Imam Husain (A.S.) revolted to reform the human society that is to say enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and his movement does not only belong to the year 61 AH, but it will continue until the Judgment Day, and certainly the blessed blood of Imam Husain (A.S.) will be the key of guidance and reform of human society” he stated, stressing that wherever is an oppressor, the seeker of the Imam Husain (A.S.) path must arise.
“Imam Husain (A.S.) in a part of his will, introduced the goal of his uprising as ‘reforming the nation of the Prophet’ and this reform of social affairs was not related only to the year 61 AH, but all through history, the Husaini movement is the reformer of human affairs” Member of the Assembly of Experts reiterated.
“Until there is time and space, the blood of Imam Husain (A.S.) will be the source of social reforms” Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said.
Husaini People Never Pledge Allegiance to the Yazidi’s
“The message of the Ashura movement has crossed the time and space, to the point where after a thousand and several hundred years, the message ‘where is a helper to aid me’ of Imam Husain (A.S.) is still novel. Today, whoever in the world take the path of justice and fighting oppression is saying the ‘Labbayk Ya Husain (A.S.)’ in action” Member of the Expediency Council stated, arguing that the Husaini people never have the possibility of give allegiance to the Yazidi’s.
“The policy of the Islamic Republic, according to Ashura, is that it does not oppress anyone and would not undergo the oppression. Today, we are faced with the Yazidis, who oppress and break up the pacts” he said, introducing the root of the Islamic Revolution Husaini’s Ashura.
Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, referring to verse 12 of Surah al-Touba, in which the Lord says, “fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them…” stated, “Breaking the oath by hegemony is evident in its acts and the words; they do not have the faith, i.e. they break the promises and covenants, and this is a sign of the characteristics of the Lord's religion enemies.”
Referring to the crimes and malignancy of global hegemony against different nations, he expressed, “Today, cowardly crimes and massacres against the people of Palestine, Yemen, Myanmar, etc., are supported by the hegemonic system, and the trends such as ISIS and al-Qaeda are created by them”.
Islamic Iran, the Harbinger in the Fight against Oppression in the World
“The followers of Imam Husain (A.S.) should not stand still facing the oppression, and this is why today the Islamic Iran is the harbinger in fighting the oppression in the world," said the Member of the Assembly of Experts.
“They make the deal and then violate it themselves, the Islamic Iran's government officials must raise the cost of JCPOA violation for the US and its ill-mannered and disrespectful President, and show the world that they do not adhere to their treaties” he said regarding the recent speeches by the President of the United States at the United Nations.
He stated that we should try to reveal the true identity of the American statesmen to the world and said, “Islamic Iran's government officials, following the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, must resist the Americans to the extent that they and their allies will be remorseful and regretful.”
Member of the Assembly of Experts, emphasizing that the Islamic system of Iran resorting to Imam Husain (A.S.) and the great support of the people has a high authority, noted, “This system has the teachings of Ashura ahead, and possesses a popular base in the hearts of the people. This nation is not afraid of the United States, following their hero-maker leader, Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.”
Solving the Country’s Problems, in the Hands of the Youths and Utilization of Domestic Capacities
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, at the end, mentioned the key to the country's problems in the hands of the youths and stated, “The foreigners have not solved the difficulties of any country since, and Islamic Iran is no exception; the principle of reliance on the people and domestic capacities should become a discourse in the country, and we should know that they will not unravel any impediments.”
It is worth mentioning that during the ceremony, attended by the mournful bodies of Imam Husain (A.S.), held in the Courtyard of the Islamic Revolution, the flag of the Illuminated Dome and the cover of the Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Burial Chamber due to the beginning of the month of Muharram was painted with sorrow and replaced. Also, Seyyed Jafar Mahrokhsar and Ahmad Vaezi referring to the tragedy of Imam Husain (A.S.) read elegies. Among the other parts of the special program “Mourning Permission” were the salutations of the crew in the minarets, the donation of mourning scarf and flags to the ceremonial religious bodies, and the black coverage of the Holy Shrine.
