Presence in Imam Reza (A.S.) Stadium was introduced by coach of Karbala's selected team of soccer as a very great honor.

Speaking at the press conference held after the match between selected team of Mashhad and selected team of Karbala, Sālim ‘Oūd stated, "Imam Reza (A.S.) Stadium is a great honor for the Islamic World". The final score was 3 – 1 in favor of Mashhad's team.
In response to a question about conducted arrangements for presence of Iraqi players in this game, coach of Karbala team reminded, "Iraqi players of Iranian league are playing in various teams and we gathered our players in a very short time. Due to their own teams' plays in the Iranian League, they had some problems, but I talked to Karrar personally".
