At the event, which was attended by renowned scholars, military and civil officials, servants of Razavi Holy Shrine, pilgrims and neighbors in the Grand Courtyard of Razavi Shrine, the pilgrims and neighbors in the dense lines of Eid Al-Adha prayer, created the most beautiful manifestations of worship and servitude.
At the spiritual ceremony, which started from 7 am, a large number of worshipers, humming “God is Great” and “There is no God but Allah”, showing gratitude for the sake of this auspicious day, were represent in the Grand Courtyard of the Razavi Holy Shrine to perform the Eid Al-Adha prayer.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alam al-Hoda, in the sermons of Eid al-Adha, said, “Eid al-Adha is called as though, since causes the closeness of human to God. The Messenger of God (S.A.W.) in a tradition says, ‘Al-Adha prayer is toward the God’ which means the prayer brings the man closer to the Creator.”
He pointed out that some mystics and scholars consider the Eid al-Adha as the feast to approach the God and stated, “On this day, the Prophet Ibrahim (S.A.), passed his biggest test triumphantly, and he did not waver when called for slaughtering Ismail (S.A.).”
“To slaughter Ismail (S.A.), the Prophet Ibrahim (S.A.) faced two choices, including submission to God and confronting the devil. Believers, to reach the God must fight the enemies and should not consider their desires higher than God's demands” Mashhad Congregational Prayer Leader said.
Referring to the fact that Eid al-Adha is the time to sacrifice the ego, he said, “Sacrificing in Eid al-Adha means that human will prepare himself to deal with the ego and submission to God.”
“The Islamic Revolution brought the country to the sacrifice point, the country that was devastated by corruption before the Revolution, now is an example of the sacrificial community and approaching the God” stated the Representative of the supreme leader in Khorasan Razavi in the second sermons of the Eid al-Adha prayer.
“Simplicity and fighting the enemy is considered as Revolution’s criteria, if an official in the country seeks luxurious life, or submit to the domination of the enemy, the values of the revolution will be destroyed” he expressed, pointing out that believers should be careful not to lose the position to reach the God.
“In the early days of the Revolution, people easily enjoined the good, but now this divine law is dimmed and some follow the evilness and consider it a value” Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda reiterated.
