Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, at the conference “Faithful Revolutionary Youth” which was held coincided with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (A.S.) and attended by more than a thousand scientific elites from schools across the country in the Quds Hall of Razavi Holy Shrine, explained the position and importance of revolutionary thinking and action and arguing that the political and revolutionary youth should be time wise and task-oriented and act in line with the requirements of time, reminded, “The revolutionary thought and practice is the act of reason and rationality, revolutionism does not mean in any sense considering the fleeting interests, but it means considering the interests ahead and look at the long-term interests of the country.”
“Unfortunately, some think that revolutionism means an emotional look and attention to fleeting interests, while being revolutionary within itself has proper analysis of issues, rationalism and calculated reason” Member of the Expediency Council reiterated.
* Various Degrees of Jihad
“If the human fights with the external enemy, they are in the “Minor Jihad”, and if they fight the evil ego and desires, they are in the “Great Jihad”. The Great Jihad of ordinary people, is the middle class jihad of the privileged servants of the God. In the middle jihad, love and devotion to God governs all the rational and amatory forces of human, so that all layers of human life bears the love and all the journey becomes passionate” he said on the degrees of jihad.
Board Member of the Assembly of Experts, stating that devotion and piousness is nothing but love, uttered, “Many things are hard to do if they are not rooted from the heart, and this is not only in the worldly affairs, they are also evident in worshiping. The Lord says, ‘the prayer is hard, except for the people who are humble.’ If a person is humble and loved the worship, then not only prayer and fasting would be easy, they would be enjoyable too.”
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, referring to the statement from Imam Ali (A.S.) who said that jihad is a door of the heaven’s doors, which God has opened to his special servants, asserted “An amorous look at jihad will make it easier to give your head in the path of God, such as the martyr Hojaji and likewise, being executed, and resist the attacks. Martyr Hojaji was a youth in the corner of Najaf Abad, his name was elevated by God, so far as the Supreme Leader of the Revolution said about him, ‘God made the martyr Hojaji a proof before the eyes of all.”
* Imam Jawad (A.S.), Extender of Imamate and Guardianship Trend
Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, in another part of his speech, mentioned the high status of Imam Jawad (A.S.) and pointed out, “Once in the presence of Imam Reza an adolescence arrives, he says ‘This is a child no one is born more blessed than him for the Shi'a.’ And this indicates the distinguished sagely and guardianship position of Imam Jawad (A.S.).”
“At the time of Imam Reza (A.S.), the Waqifite trend arose, it was made up of people that considered themselves as the Shi’ites and followers of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.). They had the treasury and the money of the Shi'ites; however, they were subject to financial corruption and refused to transfer the property of the believers to the next Imam, Imam Reza (A.S.)” he said, expressing that Imam Jawad (A.S.) was the extender of Imamate and Guardianship trend.
* Economic Corruption Leads to Political Corruption and Religious Deviations
“Financial corruption leads to political corruption and religious deviations, an example of which is the Waqifite trend, and Waqifite thought that after the martyrdom of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.) took place, and exposed the guardianship of Imam Reza (A.S.) and consequently, Imam Jawad (A.S.) to doubts and questions” Member of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminary of Khorasan remarked.
He introduced proving the leadership and guardianship; fight against tyranny and arrogance and educating people, the principles of all the Infallible Imams (A.S.) and stated, “None of the imams of religion, compromised with tyrants and arrogance, perhaps they had different ways, but the value of fighting against oppression has remained constant among all the Infallible Imams (A.S.). The discourse of all was the emphasis on the divine guardianship and the fight against oppression and tyrants.”
“Anti-arrogance tendency has always been a part of the life of the leaders of religion, and there was a single discourse among all the religious leaders, which was invitation to monotheism, and fighting against arrogance and oppression. Opposition against arrogance and oppression is the key in all of our imams' lives” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi said, recounting the opposition against the arrogance, one of the most important principles of the Islamic religion.
Referring to the book “The 250-year-old man from the Supreme Leader” he pointed out, “The discourse, the conduct and the path of the Infallible Imams is the same, and as mentioned in the valuable book of the Supreme Leader, we can consider the Infallible Imams as a 250-year-old human.”
He introduced the life and style of Imam Jawad (A.S.), as the best example of life for young people and expressed, “The new generation and the youths of the revolution as the future makers of the country put Imam Jawad (A.S.) in faith, firmness, resistance to oppression, self-building and Quranic community building as a role model.”
* Imam Jawad (A.S.) Represents the Divine Generosity and Munificence
“The youths should know that the first condition to establish dignity and devotion to God in human, is having Godly and monotheistic orientation, and the condition for success in every matter is sincerity and devotion to God, what made the martyrs well-known and immortal was their passion and devotion” Member of the Expediency Council, called Imam Jawad (A.S.) as a symbol of divine generosity and munificence.
“They say extremism is bad and moderation is good, what is the criterion of moderation in a religious society? Where is the correct line for the one not to practice the extremism? Each person defines the central point with his own eyes. Only Imam and the leader can tell who is the extremist” he said, asking ‘what the criteria of moderation in religious society is’.
Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, introduced the criteria of moderation in the Islamic community, as the guardianship and said, “Everybody introduces the moderation with their own attitude; however, the Quran says ‘O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet’. The criterion of moderation is moving based on the guardianship position and the measurement is the Saint of God.”
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, in the end, pointed to the importance of being righteous and reformer and stated, “knowledge and good deeds are not enough for beatitude, today the human should also be reformer and the way to reform the society is through ‘you're all a shepherd, and all of you responsible for his flock’ and being a reformer and having the sense of responsibility toward others is an inseparable part of Islam.”
