Speaking at a commemoration ceremony held for current and previous artists and active people in the area of Razavi art and culture, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi stated that it is necessary to support art of Islamic Revolution. He also stressed, “We have had lots of achievements in the area of art. All these artistic achievements must be supported in order to develop revolutionary art in the artistic atmosphere of the society”. The meeting was held at Willayat hall of the Razavi Shrine, coincident with Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza’s (A.S.) birth anniversary.
Member of the managing board of assembly of experts added, “In contrast to the western art which is usually combined with banality, Islamic art is blended with wisdom and if we can provide the society particularly the young generation with the religious principle concepts artistically, our job can result numerous blessings”.
Noting that banal art will push the society back, he reiterated, “Artists can provide wisdom for the society by using art. They can also enjoy the art in order to expand religious teachings and human values”.
Member of the supreme council of Khorasan seminary referred to the supporting viewpoint of the Supreme Leader toward art and stressed, “We do thank God for having a leader who loves art and understands it. A leader who follows artists’ works eagerly and also supports all types of wisdom based arts”.
Referring to a tradition of Hazrat Reza (A.S.) saying “If people were aware of our words’ beauties, there was no doubt that they would follow us”, he stated, “Showing goods and beauties of the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) to the hearts of their devotees and lovers is the job of committed elites, scientists, and artists of Islam”.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi added, “There is no need to absorb audience when we want to expand rich teachings of infallible Imams (A.S.). Right elaboration of these teachings suffices. These oneness and human based teachings are attractive by themselves as they are consistent with natures.
He reminded, “Enjoying these rich teachings is a very good opportunity for the Muslim artists in order that they attract keen hearts and curious minds from all over the world”.
Imam Reza’s (A.S.) journey from Medina to Merv was introduced by the member of the supreme council of Khorasan seminary as a divine engineering. He also stated, “Hazrat Muhammad’s (S.A.W.) journey from Mecca to Medina and also that of Imam Reza (A.S.) from Medina to Merv happened by a divine engineering. These journeys happen to form a new civilization by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and Imam Reza (A.S.) in the world”.
Emphasizing on the necessity of using great capacities of Astan Quds Razavi for the producing valuable artistic works, member of the managing board of Assembly of experts said, “Being present in the vicinity of Imam Reza (A.S.) is a great capacity for faithful artists to produce best and most exquisite works in the light of Hazrat Reza (A.S.)”.
Saying that Razavi Shrine can be considered as the starting point for creativity and innovation in Islamic wise arts, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi stated, “Razavi art brand means poetry, cinema, painting, calligraphy, gilding, and other exquisite arts resulting in calmness of soul, nurturing of human, and giving awareness to the humanity”.
