On the Eve of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Birth Anniversary; 10th International Festival of Razavi Book of the Year Selection Finished.

Thanks to the endeavors of organization of libraries, museums, and documents center of Astan Quds Razavi, the 10th international festival of Razavi book of the year selection was finished with presence of Astan Quds Razavi’s Grand Custodian in the vicinity of Razavi Illuminated Shrine.

Closing ceremony of this festival was held with the presence of a group of managers of Astan Quds Razavi, officials of Razavi Khorasan province, and elite authors. This ceremony was held in Sheikh Tabarsi hall of Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Research Foundation.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the festival, secretary of the 10th international festival of Razavi book of the year stated, “336 books in five areas of best book, best digital book, best thesis, best publisher, and supporting Razavi books were examined by five referee groups who were all university and seminary professors. This examination took place in eight phases of judgment and three phases of evaluation”.
Noting that the first two rounds of this festival were held by the office of Islamic culture and guidance, Muhammad Mahdi Zahedi said, “During eight rounds of this festival which were held under the supervision of Astan Quds Razavi, 1813 Persian books, 427 non-Persian books, 113 theses, 84digital software and books, and 313 works in the area of supporting Razavi works have ever been received from interested people”.
Chief of Astan Quds Razavi’s libraries, museums, and documents center added, “88 Persian books, 20 non-Persian books, 13 thesis, and 18 publishers have ever been awarded and appreciated in this festival and also winners of the 10th round will all be given the decree of being a Razavi Servant “.
Saying that all received sources of this festival during various periods are being kept at Imam Reza’s (A.S.) specialized library, Zahedi said, “Lovers of science and wisdom can enjoy this precious treasury by visiting the library located in the second floor of Ahl al-Bayt specialized library”.
In continuation of his talk, he introduced some books and epistles of Imam Reza (A.S.) in various areas such as Zahabiyeh epistle and Oyun Akhbar al-Reza (A.S.). He also added, “These epistles are considered as very valuable sources which can be used to understand existing realities of the society and to answer needs of the Islamic society and finally solve the society’s problems”.
Declaring that no abstract knowledge can be found in books and traditions of Imam Reza (A.S.), Zahedi stressed, “Unique treasury of Razavi sciences and teachings can be used to meet various needs of the society particularly those related to knowing people, problems, necessities, enemies, religion, etc.”.
“To comprehend and understand Imam Reza’s (A.S.) thought and knowledge, we have to look at this unique treasury from a different angle. Advantage of this exquisite scientific treasury can be taken through formation of theorizing circles, knowingly strive to spread this knowledge and its echo in the world of today, and also avoiding reproduction of science”, he added.
It is worth mentioning that the closing ceremony of the 10th international festival of Razavi book of the year was held on Mordad 11th / August 2nd. Best works of this ceremony held on the eve of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) birth anniversary and in the vicinity of Razavi Shrine were all awarded.
