Hujjat al-Islam Reza Daneshvar Thani said, "The good tradition of endowment (Waqf) is one of the most beautiful manifestations of showing devotion toward the presence of the Infallibles (A.S.).”
“Astan Quds Razavi is running based on the endowments under 26 endowment chapters stipulated according to the most frequent endowers’ intentions”, he added.
“Holding mourning rituals during the martyrdom of the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.), religious celebrations, lighting and fuel, banquet house and feeding the pilgrims, (Dar al-Shafa) medical center, and charities are the main chapters of endowment in Astan Quds Razavi to which most benevolent endowers have dedicated their endowments”, he said.
He also recounted custodian fee, supervision fee, pilgrimage procurator, cleaning and scenting of the holy shrine, paying servants, Qur’an reciters, door keepers, shoe keepers, Muazzins, sweepers, house repairs, endowments of pilgrims, helping Sadat orphans, seminarians, and the needy, the carpet affairs of the holy shrine, and the libraries of Astan Quds Razavi as other chapters of the endowment of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.).
“The most endowments of Astan Quds Razavi have been dedicated to promoting religious rituals and cultural development, especially holding religious ceremonies in mourning days and religious festivals, especially mourning days of the last ten days of Safar, and martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S.)”, he added.
“After spreading the religious rituals, the most frequent endowments have been dedicated to illumination and fuel of the holy shrine, Dar al-Shafa and the related hospital, banquet house, and feeding”, said Assistant of Legal Affairs and Endowments of Astan Quds Razavi.
