The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees that led this group of ambassadors, expressing his satisfaction at attending the Imam Reza (A.S.) Holy Shrine said, “Mashhad is the second metropolis of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is very much appreciated by the Muslims of the world.”
Sivanka Dhanapala, referring to the annual presence of thirty million pilgrims in Razavi Holy Shrine said, “Undoubtedly, managing this vast and spiritual establishment and providing services to the vast masses is a great job.”
“The various economic and cultural capacities, which exist in Mashhad and Astan Quds Razavi led us to come to the city with the ambassadors and consulates of foreign countries in the Islamic Republic of Iran” he stated.
Belgian ambassador in Iran, also pointing to the ancient and cultural history of the Holy Shrine acknowledged, “You can see the pinnacle of Iranian-Islamic art and creativity in the museums of Astan Quds Razavi.”
“Architecture, carpets, handicrafts and decorative arts used in the Holy Shrine truly fascinate the human” Dr. François Delhaye argued.
