The head of the department, Raad Kashkol said, "The campaign came under the guidance of the Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine to urge us to follow up the main streets and the entrances of the city permanently because it reflects the cleanliness of the city and the influx of visitors from all parts of the world.
He added, "we call for the owners of shops whose shops are located on the sides of the main streets to cooperate with the employees of Imam Ali Holy Shrine to maintain the cleanliness of the streets because it represents the cultural of developed societies."
For his part, the deputy of the head of the department, Haider Abid Moslim said, "The streets were washed and cleaned up by using special materials for removing all sediments and suspended fats on the sidewalks. There are similar campaigns in cooperation and coordination with the Directorate of Najaf Municipality."
