Islamic Radio and Televisions’ Secretary General: The 9th Assembly of Radio and Televisions is an Important Step in Realization of Islamic Goals

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 9th general assembly of Islamic radio and televisions union, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Ali Karimian stressed, “We are very happy to hold this gathering in holy city of Mashhad, city of the gracious Imam (A.S.)”. This ceremony was held at Saba auditorium of the city and officials and a number of representatives from Islamic countries were participants of the ceremony.  
He stated, “Mashhad, cultural and spiritual capital of the Islamic world, is a shelter and resting place for all the mankind and it is an origin of graciousness, sacrifice, kindness, love, and worshiping”.
He introduced Mashhad as the origin of knowledge, wisdom, and Islamic unity and added, “Holy Mashhad is a city with open arms to all from different religions and nationalities”.
He added, “Holding 9th general assembly of Islamic radio and televisions is in fact a commemoration for a decade-long endeavor of these activists for reviving Islamic culture. We do honor memory and endeavors of all those who resist bravely and have been a permanent companion in the front of resistance”.
Secretary General of the Islamic radio and televisions went on, “Today is the day to commemorate respectful martyrs who, to depict endeavor arenas and sacrifices of veterans, had martyrdom as their weapon and those who guide mankind from dark ness to light, destroying exclusive voice of the western media”.
Referring to the unique role and significant impact of media on today’s situation of the world, he added, “The media empire of the world which is dominated by American and Israeli companies tries to impose new scientific, cultural, political, and economic equations to the Islamic world and nation, following a soft war”.
Saying that crisis, chaos, and Takfiri groups can unfortunately be seen in the Middle East, Karimian stated, “Western media has been highly effective in reflecting this chaos and they have always been trying to replace priorities in order to forget the issue of Palestine which is the first issue of the Islamic world. They have also tried to introduce Israel as a friend and ally for Iraq and to introduce resistance movement as the main source of insecurity”.
He continued, “If we see serious strive of the US for another settlement in the Middle East; it’s because of the failure of its allies in reaching their purposes”.
“Today is the day Supreme Leader promised many years ago. He said: This century is the century of Islam and spirituality. It’s a century for freedom seeking and government of oppressed people. It is also a century for reviving divine and human values”, secretary general of Islamic radio and televisions added.
Referring to the burden of Islamic radio and televisions at the present time, Karimian said, “Media has to boost Islam front by making people aware, expanding goals, propagating Islamic lifestyle, defending oppressed people of the world, and following spirituality and unity”.
