Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Seventh Islamic Film Market at Astan Quds Razavi’s center of conferences and exhibitions, Muhammad Ali Anousheh elaborated on capabilities of the members of Islamic Radio and Television Union. This ceremony was held with the presence of representatives from 35 Islamic countries.
Producing film, creating an appropriate opportunity for Muslim producers to know each other, providing a platform for introduction, sale, and exchange of Islamic productions, and getting familiarity with facilities and capacities of member channels for the purpose of investment and common productions and also reducing marketing expenses were introduced by him as the goals of holding this market.
Noting that Islamic radio and televisions will internationally introduce their productions in this market, manager of the Seventh Islamic Film Market added, “Being disappointed in military wars the enemy has now started, by launching thousands of immoral networks and tens of Farsi language channels, a soft war against all Muslim nations. Having large investments, the enemy has tried to depict a dark face from Muslims”. He also said, “Taking the advantage of Islamic capabilities and teachings, we have to return Muslims’ previous glory and greatness, therefore”.
Anousheh stated, “The mentioned market starts its activity in Mashhad, cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2017, and Origin of Islamic Unity will be its motto”. He also said, “It has been tried to have a suitable international introduction for this market’s Islamic productions, with respect to the spectacular effects of presence of Islamic Radio and Television Union in this market”.
He referred to three basic criteria of unity, resistance, and pure Islam and stated, “The difference between this market and other ones is its number of participants which has increased up to three times in comparison to the first Islamic film market. The current market also enjoys a 55% growth comparing to the pervious one”.
“The place of this year’s market in the vicinity of Razavi Holy Shrine is very good and vast and this feature has brought prosperity to the market. Some channels have arranged attractive performances for the market visitors for which a good welcome can be anticipated”, Anousheh said.
He added, “Some Mashhad’s institutes are also present in this seventh market. These institutes introduce Razavi sacred premises, cultural and historical capacities, and also attractions of the city. Some of these institutes have got over 45 programs to offer among which some are totally new”.
Declaring that European films have no attractions for the Islamic countries, Anousheh asserted, “Film exchange market is now very competitive and we are, regarding endeavors of the union’s members, approaching international film market. Introducing filmmakers’ abilities, paving the way for exchanging products and getting familiarly with members’ facilities are some of the goals of the Seventh Islamic Film Market”.
He added, “Some companies buy existing films with suitable prices and this process has to be continued with the presence of all channels. 137 institutes from 20 countries are present as booth owners and buyers in this year’s market. Also, 400 managers and directors of various channels are other active participants of this year’s market “.
