Secretary General of Imam Ali(AS) Holy Shrine supervises the receiving of Electric Transmission Station of the Qanbar Residential Complex in Najaf.

After two day of pumping portable water , the Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Sayyed Nizar Hashim Habl al-Mateen had supervised the receiving of Electric Transmission Station of the Qanbar Residential Complex in Preparation for linking it to the national network.


In a statement to the Media Center of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the secretary general said, "Qanbar Residential Complex has been equipped with a Electric Transmission Station. During the next two or three months, we shall complete the internal electrical network. Thus, we have completed one of the most important parts of the project infrastructure. Which is the most important pillar (electricity and water), and it is hoped to start the completion of school buildings."

He added, "The construction and civil works in the Qanbar Complex are in its advanced stages, but the main is the completion of infrastructure and basic services of water, electricity, sanitation and service buildings schools. Hopefully, we shall complete all these stages."

"During the Eid al-Fitr period, we will hand over 106 completed houses for the employees. We hope to start the second stage of Qanbar Residential Complex at the end of this year after the completion of the first stage."

For his part, the head of Engineering and Technical Affairs, Engineer Ridha Mohammad Hassan said, "With continuous efforts by the cadres of the department, Qanbar Residential Complex was equipped with a 132-33 KV mobile power station with a capacity of 150 megawatts."

He added, "The station was obtained after the completion of official approvals from the Ministry of Electricity to bring them from the province of Basra. The station shall cover about 80-90 of the total need for the complex of electric power. The staffs of ministry of Electricity in cooperation with cadres engineering at Imam Ali Holy Shrine shall start the linking of the station to the national network."
