Secretary General of Imam Ali(AS) Holy Shrine supervises the pumping of potable water to the houses of Qanbar Residential Complex in Najaf, Iraq.

Accompanied by the head of Engineering and Technical Affairs Department and the committee overseeing the completion of the project, The Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Sayyed Nizar Hashim Habl al-Mateen had supervised the pumping of drinking water to the houses of members of the Qanbar Residential Complex, through a self-funded system.


The head of the Engineering and Technical Affairs Department, Engineer Ridha Mohammed Hassan said, "Under the auspices of the Secretary General, the pumping of water net was opened to the houses of the employees at Qanbar Residential Complex, which was completed by self-financing of Imam Ali Holy Shrine.

He added, "Imam Ali Holy Shrine had completed this completion with simple facilities and the available materials, we have been able to provide drinking water that fills the need for the residential houses with self-financing."

He added, "The system includes one well connected to the RO system. The operation was successful and the water was pumped up to (2 bar) without the need of pumps inside the houses. It is the first step in the intention to expand the quantities of water required to cover all the houses and service buildings of the complex."

On the ongoing stages of completion in the complex, he said, "For the future projects of the complex, we started the casting with concrete the foundations for service buildings, the most important of which are the schools. We started pouring the concrete foundations of the school and the ongoing work in the other school. It is hoped that they will be completed at the beginning of the new academic season. The electric network of the complex will be started after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including the internal electrical network. "
