The head of the Religious Affairs Department, Sheikh Mustafa Abu al-Tabuk, said, "Under the guidance of His Eminence the Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the department announced the launch of its summer courses for young students during the summer vacation."
He added, "The summer courses are sponsored by Imam Ali Holy Shrine. The aim of the courses is to increase the religious and ideological culture of the young people from the ages of 10-14 years. This course will be organized in Imam Ali Holy Shrine for the period from 1/7/2017 to 10/8/2017. Room 29 has been allocated to receive applications from those who wish to apply for the courses from 8:00 am to 8 pm."
He added, "The summer courses is targeting 1,700 students from Najaf and the capital of Baghdad, who will be celebrated with their teachers at the end of the courses as part of a grand celebration program that will be organized in Imam Ali Holy Shrine."
For his part, the official of the Religious Education and Guidance Division, Sheikh Saad Sami said, "The program of summer courses is divided into three sections. The first is in Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Omran bin Shaheen Mosque and Sahan (Courtyard) Fatima (Peace be upon her). The second section is out of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, while the third section is al-Rasool al-Aadam Mosque in Baghdad."
He added, "The courses include the curriculum of the doctrines, jurisprudence, ethics and Quranic texts, presented to them in the form of lectures given by a group of specialized teachers from Hawza. The courses in Baghdad target 400 students, while the courses in Najaf target 1000 students with the same curriculum, with 300 students in Imam Ali Holy Shrine."
