In visiting the preparation procedure of 170 daily break-fast meals in the Razavi Holy Shrine, Sayed Morteza Bakhtiari remarked, “Astan Quds Razavi has tried to cook food using its optimal capacity so that a higher number of pilgrims could be received with the blessed food of Hazrat banquet house.”
“Currently, both old and new Astan Quds Razavi banquet houses are able to make 70,000 warm meals daily, 40,000 of which are sent to the deprived districts of Mashhad”, he reiterated.
“By the end of Ramadan, a total of 1,200,000 citizens of Mashhad rural and deprived districts will break their fast by the blessed food of Imam Reza (A.S.)”, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi asserted.
Referring to the emphases of the Supreme Leader in the seven-article charter of the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi’s appointment decree, Bakhtiari said, “Based on the mission determined for the organization by the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, a capacity should be made whereby every single pilgrim of the Razavi Holy Shrine who visits Mashhad, could be able to have the blessed food of the Holy Shrine for one time.”
Full observation of sanitary regulations
Pointing to using modern and up-to-date equipment for making the blessed food, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, “8000 voluntary servants and 3500 staff forces are serving the pilgrims at the sacred premises of Imam Reza (A.S.) holy Shrine, who are all obliged to observe sanitary regulations.”
“For making food, fourteen tons of rice, ten tons of meat, and one tone of vegetables are prepared daily”, he added.
Serving in over 50 degree heat
Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi noted that the servants of the Razavi Holy Shrine are working in the kitchen with a temperature of over fifty degrees of centigrade while they are fasting.
“Servants of Hazrat banquet house are working from 7 a.m. until the sunset to serve pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.) and they surely will be rewarded by God”, he said.
