Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi Visited the Preparation Stages of the Islamic World’s Biggest Break-Fast Banquet

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, by presence in different parts of the kitchen of new and old guesthouses of Razavi Holy Shrine, while visiting the preparation stages of Islamic world’s biggest break-fast banquet, and appreciating the efforts to cook Imam Reza’s (A.S.) blessed food said, “Despite all occupations in your life, you got ready to prepare break-fast for Imam Reza (A.S.) guests.”

“Hopefully, with these efforts you will be companions of Imam Reza (A.S.) in the hereafter, and reward of these break fasts will be recorded in your deeds report. I thank you and all those who work namelessly for Imam Reza (A.S.)”.
“One of the characteristics of our Imams and religious leaders in the history, has been the reception of different guests and the needy” Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi stressed.
“Among the traditions about the conduct of Imam Reza (A.S.), it is noted that before he touched the food, he would ask whether the maids and servants had eaten the same food or not, this is the attention to others by Imam Reza (A.S.)” he reminded, highlighting that Imam Reza (A.S.) is known for his courtesy to others.
Feed the Pilgrims and the Needy with People’s Donations
“Traditionally in the vicinity of Imam Reza (A.S.) Illuminated Grave, feeding was common, and people vowed to distribute food among pilgrims, neighbors, and the needy, these requests have been increasing gradually, and it has reached a level that for break fast in Ramadan, thousands of people are fed at Imam Reza (A.S.) banquet” Member of the Assembly of Experts said.
Distribution of Thousands of Blessed Meals in Villages and Suburbs of Mashhad
“The initiative that began last year and this year was completed, was that for those in rural and peripheral areas of the city, and they do not have the possibility of visiting the Razavi Shrine, the food is transferred and it is distributed at the nearby school of their location, to which a part of the capacity of guesthouse has been reserved and thousands of meals is distributed daily in this manner” he commented.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, stressing that caring for others is one of the features of the holy month of Ramadan, said, “The blessed food of Imam Reza (A.S.), is made attended by those involved, many of whom are honorary and everybody attempts to provide a quality food for the reception of pilgrims, neighbors and the needy.”
“We hope either those who have donated the ingredients of the meals, as well as those involved in cooking, and transfer to the pilgrims and neighbors get their reward from Imam Reza (A.S.)” he said at the end.
