Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Qara’ati: Islam’s Desire for Women: Progress in Shade of Chastity

In the fourth session of meeting series of Lessons from Qur’an held since 10 pm in the Razavi Grand Courtyard, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Mohsen Qara’ati referred to “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient (al-Baqarah, 155)”, and stated, “I will definitely test all of you, God says in this verse”. He also said, “On this verse, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) had once said that good for someone who can perceive Imam Mahdi’s (A.S.) era”.
Noting that keeping faith is very difficult at the time of occultation, he stressed, “During this time, man does not intend to enjoy usury but there are lots of usury takers in the society. Women want to observe their veil but lack of veil is very rampant in the world. For this reason therefore, it has been said that keeping faith is very difficult at the End of Time”.
This seminary professor continued, “Prayer stops sinful deeds. However, some people ask us “There are numerous glorious congregational prayers in Mecca. Why many slaughter and infanticide happen there?”. To answer them, it should be said that their prayers are not as they should be and they have got problem. When there is no right understanding of issue of prayer and its components, these problems will be arisen”.
“The prayer whose leader is Imam Mahdi (A.S.) will certainly stop sinful deeds. Therefore, if we say all our prayers and still commit evils, it’s because our prayer has got problem”, he added.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Qara’ati reiterated, “According to Qur’an itself, the more we recite Qur’an, the more faith we will receive. This more faith will be received when we do Qur’anic verses, however. Qur’an says that “And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive” (al-Mumenun, 8) which means real faithful person is trustworthy and does not break his promise. Now, we recite Qur’an but do not pay off our cheque”. 
He added, “Islam does not disagree with women’s progress and knowledge, rather it emphasizes on their scientific development. In fact, Islam is opposed to the women’s pretense in the society”.
This seminary professor emphasized, “Inappropriate clothing and make up of women in the society will pave the way for people’s deviation”.
“There is no femininity and masculinity in Islam. Islam is in favor of right. In Islam, it’s piety that is the criteria for people’s merit and superiority”.
