Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi, director of the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has given us details of this Khatmah, saying: "The recited Quranic Khatmah was held inspired from the words of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household): "He who reads a verse from the Holy Quran in the month of Ramadan, has the reward of a Quran's Khatmah in the other months." And within the Quranic program prepared by the Institute to commemorate the days and nights of this holy month, the Institute has given great importance to this Khatmah that starts daily at 5 pm to read one Juz'. A place in the holy sanctuary was allocated to this khatmah and was provided by the holy Quran to enable the participants to follow with the readers while they are reciting the verses, with a sound system of high accuracy in addition to a platform designed to fit this Quranic achievement."
It is noteworthy that the Institute of the Holy Quran in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a plan and a program to commemorate the days and nights of this holy month through the establishment of the Quranic Khatmah or competitions and others, both in the Institute or in its branches located in most of the provinces of Iraq, in order to participate in the dissemination of the culture of reading the holy Quran in this holy month, and helping in completing the Khatmah in this month.
