Hazrat Ali’s (A.S.) Exhibition of Special Stamps held in Astan Quds Razavi’s Museum

An exhibition of special stamps with the topic of Imam Ali (A.S.) was formed in treasury of stamp, banknote, and coin of Astan Quds Razavi’s Central Museum. The exhibition was held on the occasion of 13th of Rajab, Imam Ali’s (A.S.) auspicious birth anniversary and the father’s day.


Responsible of Astan Quds Razavi’s treasury of stamp, banknote, and coin said, “A collection of commemorative stamps, envelops of day’s seal, and tableau of “Ali Waliollah” stamp have been put into public display in this treasury”.
Muhammad Hossein Yazdi Nejad added, “Islamic Republic of Iran’s Post Company has been honored to publish the first commemorative postal stamp in Imam Ali (A.S.) year. This stamp was published with a circulation of 450 thousand in 1379/ 2000”.
“Also, some other stamps with the topic of Imam Ali (A.S.) were published by the country’s Post Company in years between 1360/ 1981 to 1389/ 2010. These stamps include Millennium of Nahj al-Balagha authored by Seyyed Razi (R.A.), valuable book of al-Ghadir written by Allame Amini, famous poem of Muhammad Hossein Shahriar about Imam Ali (A.S.), etc.”, he went on.
Introducing commemorative stamp of Imam Ali (A.S.) year as one of the most beautiful stamps ever published, Yazdi Nejad stated, “This stamp has been very popular among Iranians and foreigners particularly Muslims from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, etc. This popularity was in a way that they tried to keep this auspicious stamp as a blessed piece in their collection”.
He also referred to the exquisite tableau of Ali Valiollah stamp and added, “Motivated by a deep love toward Hazrat Reza (A.S.), this stamp, whose production took three thousand and 160 hours, has been offered to the museum of Astan Quds Razavi by Ibrahim Zeinali Khameneh, an artist from Tehran. This work has been produced by using collage art and eighty thousand pieces of stamps”. 
Saying that Imam Khomeini’s (R.A.) image can be seen in Ein (ع) letter of the work, responsible of Astan Quds Razavi’ treasury of stamp, banknote, and coin continued, “Some stamps depicting Fatiha Surah and Imam Ali’s (A.S.) graciousness toward the orphans can also been seen in the tableau. Also, all four corners of the work have been adorned with commemorative stamps of holy defense, Islam veterans, and martyrs”.
He said, “This collection’s exquisite pieces are put into public display in various occasions such as commemorations and birth anniversaries of prominent national and religious figures and also on cultural and artistic incidents. 
It is reminded that Astan Quds Razavi’s treasury of stamp, banknote, and coin is open to Iranian and non-Iranian visitors on working days from 08:00 to 17:45 and on holidays from 08:00 to 12:00. The center is located in floor -1 of Central Museum of Astan Quds Razavi in Razavi Shrine’s Kawthar Courtyard.
